Jasmine Ernst, Ph.D.
Welcome! I am a developmental scientist whose work focuses on the intersection of cognitive and academic skills in early childhood. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville.

My primary line of research examines the contribution of executive function skills to mathematics and connections to school readiness skills more broadly. I also examine how elements of early childhood education can support educational and well-being outcomes. These two strands of research inform what we know about cognitive and academic skills and how to effectively improve these skills in educational contexts.
